i have been using KNP for some time now. I have made many games and today i have uploaded my first game created in KNP. Game works fine in KNP and on my computer. Problem happens when i play it on some other computer and also the uploaded file does not work, can somebody help me resolving this problem.
I'm surprised the games run on your computer to begin with, much less the software. Unless you're using an older version of Windows and the problem is simply incompatibility with newer versions of Windows, especially 64bit versions which can't play 16bit applications natively.
My recommendation, honestly... would just to save up $60and throw it Clickteam's way, to get TGF2 which at the very least, is still leagues ahead of KNP. I understand not everyone has money, but we're talking the price of a console game here. And if I'm not mistaken, the only way you can get KNP right now is via "Educational Purposes Only" anymore, so technically unless you're in class... making games and releasing them for others to play is technically not a valid use of it's license to begin with.
Eh, Francois has given the go-ahead to even informal groups like Glorious Trainwrecks in their quest to make games with KNP, as recently as like a month ago; he acknowledges it's quite a hassle to make games happen with KNP now that 64-bit systems are all over. See here:
Yeah, all Clickteam products up until MMF2 required an additional .dll file (eg. "cncs232.dll") for the exported .exe to run.
I'm inclined to agree with Silveraura though - it's going to be pretty difficult to make a half decent game with all KnP's limitations, like just 3 alterable values per object, etc.
If you don't want to shell out for a Clickteam product, you should at least switch to Construct - it's *extremely* similar (not quite as good, but still a big upgrade over KnP), and it's completely free.

First of all thank you for replying to my forum regarding KNP and yes i agree , it is the most successful gaming software ever built. I have tried all the other gaming software's but yet i go back and continue to make games with KNP, as i still find it very easy to make games in a jiffy, i have taken up alot of big and large project games with KNP and if i find a way to get it across to people i would do it.
yes, i have to include another file to be used by other computers. However, the fun to make games of your type just makes this program incomparable to any other program i have used so far.
You are aware there have been 10 new and improved versions of Klik and Play released since it's debut in 1994? The most recent and advanced being Multimedia Fusion Developer 2...
