Today I began work on the trailer for my upcoming iOS game, 'Frantic Fingers'. I decided to make a Flash animation for the first half of the trailer. The rest of the trailer will then be comprised of montage gameplay footage.
In this video below I have a draft of the Flash Animation component of the trailer. The art is final but I need to:
-Add audio
-Adjust timings
-Add montage gameplay footage to the end of the clip
-Add a "Coming to the appstore" tagline
-Insert "From the creators of Nightmerica" at the beginning
If you could give it a watch and give me ALL the criticisms of the constructive variety, I would much appreciate it
The Frantic Finger logo might want to be on screen for a second longer I think. Are you planning on having little video boxes that accompany the text/animation which showcase the gameplay? Overall it looks really nice though.
I was thinking the finger would pull the guys pants down, not wedgie him. What does that say about me..?
I'd recommend that you display the name of the game more...Maybe briefly between each of the mini-game examples. A simple "slide in, pause, slide out" would work.
Also, make the studio logo smaller than the game title. At this point, it seems to be the other way around. You're promoting Frantic Fingers, not Voltic.
@Liam: I was going to have the animation transition into montage gameplay footage at the end of the trailer but maybe having some footage throughout could also be an idea, thanks!
@s-m-r: true beans! I'll try it out. Thanks for the logo sizing advice too.
