Hey all! You mayyyy remember me from a little company known as Fallen Angel Industries Clicking has sort of been left behind for us, but Jesse and I moved on to form A Jolly Corpse. We've made a few games in the past year or two, but now we've expanded to a whole new frontier - the tabletop card game. It's been a lot of fun to develop, but now we're at the crucial point, where we're trying to make it a reality through Kickstarter.
Domain is a TCG for 2-4 players. It combines tile-based world building with simple Magic the Gathering conjure / hex battles. Controlling the overworld requires strategy and a bit of luck. Take over dungeons and summon powerful monsters to defeat the other players! We've already been getting some great feedback and would love everyone to check us out!
Most of what separates it from MTG is the world building and Lord cards. Traveling around the world changes a lot because you won't always have access to all of your monsters at once. You have to leave some behind to guard your territories. The battles have also been simplified some compared to magic, where monsters only have 1 power level instead of an attack and defense. So, ordering your monsters in battle is important and using their abilities to maximize effectiveness is huge. Lord cards have abilities you can use any turn, so having a powerful Lord and using him well can make a massive difference when you're short either monsters or hexes.
I'm totally interested in supporting you guys...Not only because I've enjoyed your games in the past, but also because I'm a fellow board game designer.
After my next paycheck, I'll be sure to contribute! Here's to your continued success, and complete funding of Domain.
