I was just thinking how cool it would be if you could create websites with MMF. You could place everthing exactly where you wanted it to be and you wouldn't have to learn html or use one of those crappy online site builders. It would be perfect for all those lazy dudes out there.

you can. you could program it in MMF, save it as a vitalize app and embed it in a webpage. someone's done it.

but it would be crap in practice. all visitors would have to download the vitalize plugin, wait for the whole thing to load all in one go, etc. it would suck.

besides. there's nout wrong with HTML. just use dreamweaver's WYSIWYG interface. thats what i do.

Actually Nightshade, i made my Website in MMF:
-----------------------------------------
http://www.hereticemu.com/crystalclear
-----------------------------------------
Oh Pete, it doesnt take very long at all to load up,
once you have downloaded all the plugins. it actually takes less than 30sec for me to load it all up.
only reall the first time and maybe the second time it takes longer but after that its just quick loading!
anyway most klikkers already have Vitalize!, although people outside of the community dont, but if Clickteam
tried that could make it as common as Flash! then there
wouldnt be that problem.

Oh, I didn't realise that it was possible. It's a shame you need the plugin though...

It wouldnt be much problem if it was as common as Flash.
but that would only happen if it was advertised on Big sites Yahoo, Cnet, Zdnet e.t.c then it wouldnt be much a problem but i doubt thats going to happen . im trying to spread the word around of Vitalize on a few Boards.
It has many Upsides but that seems to be its BIG Down side.

There are 2 options that would make Vitalize very effective.

1) Clickteam advertise TGF around websites showing that they offer the skills that programs such as Macromedia Flash do (only downfall is CPU Memory). If they offered TGF i would assume it would become very helpful for this, with it's simple user interface.

2) Someone creates a program, using MMF, that works just as MMF/TGF or as they want it to work. It allows for all the images, text, animated images that you would want in a website. You design it as you wish. Then there is a built in compiler command which complies the page into a .html/.php/.asp page.

as flash uses vectors and MMF uses bitmaps, i'd imagine that a file that was 2Kb in flash would become about 50-100Kb on MMF.

but if MMF used vectors... mmmm... *drools*. that would be something.

I'm very surprised that Clickteam haven't made a website maker yet. It would certainly be popular. Oh, and does anyone know if there is a webhost for free that allows direct linking?

Making your website in vitalize is fine, as long as you don't expect to many dial up users. And Btw, the site has to download every time you visit it.

Let's say it's not very practical, because everything
need to be downloaded, so want to have the site as small as possible.
(NOT as BIG as possible) That way you use less bandwidth and that's an important thing.
And if you're site is 500k in vitalize and 50 k in flash, what would you choose?

Actually Vitalize compression is very good. It's just the plugin that's a problem, with the annoying 'Extensions needed' prompt that could be confusing for non-clickers.
What i'm doing is having options-either the html site, or the vitalize site with more features.

Its compression rate is great, in my sites .cca its 553kb - 100kb exactly as .ccn (Vitalized).
i have 56k Dial-Up and it doesnt take long for me to download it at all, around 20 - 40 seconds max. And thats all the pages. If it was Big it would be a pain, but dont you have to Download a Flash site everytime you visit it aswell?. again, the worst thing is you cant reach people outside of the Click Community .
Oh and thanks Klikmaster, glad you like it.
