Will you be putting the poor game authors out of their misery next week? It's turning into GOTM now. (However, you could be devising a new plan for GOTW and/or world domination.)
Hmm... come to think of it, why make it a GOTW? Why not just go for GOTM. It'll bring out the best, instead of how GOTW sometimes just awards the best (or most famous) of the crappy games on the list, or sometimes just ignores a VERY good game when two VERY good games are on the list. And sometimes, guys who can't go online as often (like me) don't even get the chance to vote.
Just give the one on the first place 20 DC points, 2nd place 10 DC points, 3rd place 5 DC points, and the three ones under it 2 DC points. Less work for SC (no more checking every weekend), more fairness for the rest of us.
The only prob may be the tension of waiting for so long. But the worst it could end up with is having the nominees go around politically advertising their games. But it can't be that bad, compared to real life. I remember running a "campaign" for One Step From Reality, and nobody was really bothered by it.
And those 'extra prizes' might be a little straining on SC. In that case, just forget the consolation prizes...

but thats old. Jon and me had a problem in the past but i hate him now for that because that is old now. and he only starts these things if there is a reason. His reason on me was the "Spiderhead" game.
