How many people would actually object to there being a TGF Level Password ripper? I'm not asking for people to get into debates, but I would like a brief explanation for why you answer the way you do.
We're talking, of course, about an application which just loads level names and passwords (if they have one). It does nothing else (no graphic ripping, music ripping, sound ripping, event ripping, game unprotecting, or anything like that).
The application would also come with several examples and tutorials on how to make better password systems in TGF, which cannot be grabbed by this app.
Opinions anyone?

Yeah, I personally don't see any problem whatsoever. It's the player's decision to cheat or not to cheat, an app like that just gives them the means to exercise that choice.

I code all my passwords into events, with edit boxes to type them in.

Good, good, so far so good. Which is good.
I'll probably release it with an example for newbies/thickbies on how to do it.

He's not encouraging it, he's just proving it can be done and providing a way for people to cheat if they wish.
Frankly I couldn't care less, if you cheat you're only spoiling the game.. however, sometimes you get levels which are nigh-on impossible to complete, and are twice as frustrating. It's good that you'll be including examples so that people can learn how to make a password system.

don't most klik games use saves now? either that or their own password system, so the only games affected would be the older ones

You're missing the word 'good' near the beginning of your sentence.
I wouldn't say it's the older ones, since save games/custom passwords were always possible. Zeb didn't use the built-in password box...
