I've recently caught the Gundam fever again (I was a big fan when Wing was airing) and I decided to make a game similar to it. I'm focusing on technology more than Gundam does, and I want to have the military themes from the Universal Century sagas more than the guerilla warfare from Gundam W and Gundam X. It'll be a while before I start on it, but I wanted to know if you guys would be interested. It's got a shooter/beat'em-up style gameplay with anime type cutscenes within the levels and between levels. I know the beginning will be a bit simple, since all you can do is shoot enemies with your rifle, attack planes with shoulder mounted miniguns, crouch, or attack with a blade. As the technology picks up, you'll get automatic weapons, shields, heated swords, and double shoulder vulcan cannons (the vulcan is effective on enemy Zaetron, unlike the minigun). Also, the real military force (you are on their side, but not under their command) will have a lot of experimental weapons by the end. In cutscenes, you'll hear reports on the war situation on the news. The game itself is linear, but beating unlocks new options, such as playing through with one of the other special Zaetron.
Starclaw was originally going to be a Metal Warriors clone, but I ran out of time (spent too much time planning, not enough making graphics). I hope you have better luck than I did.
