Hi

1) What programs do I use to create 3d files for use with the "3D Sprite" Tool ?

2) Are there any good snooker game examples on the web somewhere? Ive looked and I cant find one, and I just cant work out how to make it get the angles for the shots right

Thanks very much in advance

If you can't help, why are you posting?! Good grief, as Charlie Brown would say. AANYWAY,

1) Most popular 3D apps can save the file format used by the 3D Sprite tool.

2) None that I know of, but can you elaborate on your problem?

1) I think the 3D sprite object supports files from 3D Studio Max.
2) What's snooker?

You people don't know what snooker is!? WHAT! OH MAN! What has the world come to...well anyway.

I'm yet to see an example of a snooker, or even pool or billards, for Klik games around. Your best off using a 360 degree engine of some sort. You may want to check out the the Movement extension and some of the examples that come with it. Some of them are pretty good.

Just because you CAN post, does NOT mean you SHOULD post. For Christ sake only post if you have something useful to say!!!

1. I dont really know, however I guess others have answered this question satisfying.

2. Snooker is (to those who dont know) a billard/pool type of game. Even I dont know the excact rules (I dont play it) but I DO KNOW what kind of game it is. I havent seen any games of that type either (as a click game I mean). However it has to do with angles. So some math is/may be involved. I think the best way is sit down and sketch out the events that can happen - a ball hits a ball, the cue hits a ball, the ball hits the side of the table etc - and what would happen, its quite obvious really. Depending on where one ball hits another the second ball with move in a direction with a portion of the speed of the first ball. Also balls loose speed (slowly) as they move. Etc. etc. So it is obvious you need some kind of custom engine.

Good luck.

To put it in a shorter way, snooker is like pool, but more posh.

The exact rules are rather too long-winded to explain here, but I'm sure that The Internet can help out there. I'm rather amazed myself that people don't know what it is, but I suspect some of them are 'joking'.

Making it is difficult in Click as by default you only have 32 directions to work with, and you'll need a lot more...

1) Most 3d creation programs will work .3ds .max, and the maya ones.

Snooker is the same thing as pool except all the balls are red.

Sounds like snooker isn't too popular over the pond...

1) Already answered.
2) Didn't know what snooker was.
3) You should use jamagic. It's a lot easier for this type of game, and will probably run ~18 times faster, and look better. (unless you use huge textures for a 3D pool table )

Strange, I thought Snooker was a more international thing. Surprising that many of you haven't heard of it...
