if *everyone* pirated MMF, then Clickteam would be out of business. A check on clickteam.com does not say "Goodbye cruel world, we will not renew our hosting for another year 'cos we ran out of dosh!" so I assume there are some people who have bought MMF (and, in some cases, TGF an KNP too).
Adobe Photoshop is the best graphics program (in my opinion) ... however it is expensive. You said it. $500 for a program you dont make $1 using.
I dont mind companies and professional individuals paying that kind of money for commercial use, but it is expensive for us normal users. I would hope Adobe one day made a "Personal Edition" ... maybe with some of the very advanced features disabled (who use CMYK color space anyway?). I know though that it could be difficult for Adobe to control that noone used the "Personal Edition" for commercial stuff, so it is not likely to happen. Right now warez or coughing up money is the only choice.
Im am against illegal warez, however in this case I can understand if someone is compelled to use a warez version. Why? Well, if you dont make money and you cannot buy the program Adobe havent really lost anything ... on the contrary Adobe has gained some good-will and a possible buyer later on.
Klik products are so cheap everyone should have a possibility to buy em, so theres no excuse to use a warez version.
Might I remind you guys that DC laws allow the death penalty and worse on the discussion of piracy? And possible banning from all Clickteam software .
Though, IMHO, I think the fact that Clickteam charged for MMF 1.5 will significantly boost piracy on Click software. So far I've seen, people only offer pirated CT products to good friends, people on the same team, and so-called 'female klikers'.
But ever since they charged almost full price for a damn patch, what I've seen of piracy in the Click Community has skyrocketed. Almost everyone I've even asked was willing to give out serial numbers. Those who didn't thought I was a CT spy.
I'd normally whine about CT, but as an admin, I'm bound to support their capitalist actions. At least they're not charging as much as Macromedia, I'll give you that. Oh well... life is unfair. Clicking is a rich person's hobby with most of it being based in first-world countries and the internet...
And yes, I do have the real MMF 1.5. As they say, "If you know the right people, they can get you anything for free".
