It'll make it a million times easier than waiting for someone to say "yeah, I know about it" then waiting for you to reply, then waiting for them to reply again. And people are less likely to say they know the s/w if they dont know the question, because I hate commiting myself to answering a question you dont even know yet, because then you might not even know the answer.
