Can anyone direct me to any info on how to use this Draw object extension please? A tutorial would be good too. I can't find any info at all for mmf 1.5

It's an incomplete object so there is no official documentation. Do you really need a tutorial? It's as simple as:
Always: Drawline > 0,0 to 50,50

It's pretty easy I think, make a box with the draw object, and when you run the program you can draw on the box to make lines. Different actions in the event editor change the tools, pen colour, etc. A tutorial isn't really needed

I once used it as an aimer for a top down shooter game I made but other then that it sucks I think.

Thanks all for your comments. I solved the problem. I didn't realise that you drew IN the object in the play area !! Another senior moment I guess !
It's now working and as you say...it's dead easy to use.
