Hey, I know Lib graphics arent good for games, you know lib graphics arent good for games, but does anyone here know why? A friend of mine is complaining that I am complaining about his lib graphics for his game, he asked why, & I wasnt able to answer him...
So it all comes down to this boiling question...
Why are lib graphics bad?
Meh. You know, the lib graphics are there for a REASON. So that beginners can concentrate on making games. I mean, what's the point of having lib graphics if everytime you use them, someone complains?
I mean, I'd prefer original graphics any day, but IMO, lib graphics are on the same level as ripping from commercial games - maybe slightly above since you're actually using graphics INTENDED for use in such a way, as opposed to ripping off something someone was paid to do.
If wishes were fishes then we'd all smell like ladies' underwear.
Because we've all seen the library graphics a million times. They're well-drawn, but everyone's sick of them now. Used in a game you'll very rarely get a consistant style, too.
