TDSE is a fully open source and commented, top-down shooter example to help people get a little bit better at using Clickteam Fusion 2.5 with custom movements, switching weapons, shooting in 360 degrees and with more precise bullet collision. Among other things.
That project was alright, but I felt like I could do more.
So I started working on TDSE 1.1, adding more things like simple lighting and more advanced things like a custom camera system etc.. And then I started adding netcode with Lacewing, because I had recently worked on my server for a different project.
So now I'm working on TDSE Online, a fully open-source and commented "online" version of TDSE, supporting 8 player deathmatch, but I'm considering adding Team Deathmatch as well.
I've gotten pretty far with the project, players can host their own 8 player matches, spawn, shoot each other, die and respawn. Scoreboard is up next, which I have figured out as a separate project and now just need to implement into TDSE-O and then sync.
The reason why I'm writing this here as a project, is because I'm reaching a point where I desperately need testers to help me figure out if the netcode & server stability is actually working as intended.
