Hello folks! Before saying the related stuff of the projects I'd like to wish an early happy new year to all TDC members! This place is actually really nice to hang with Clickteam freaks and all are really kind and helpful.
Now, to the project. The idea is to leave the Castlevania-ish mold of the first title to move to a classic platformer game... except that I think there will be lots of stuff in this game.
You see, there are vases that are like the crates in Crash Bandicoot titles, once you destroy all of them you receive a mandatory collectable to get the good ending meaning that the games will be bigger and there could be backtracking, on the other hand there are powerups, one is the classic invincibility item and the other two are inspired by Sonic the Hedgehog's power ups. At least to make the game a bit dynamic.
There will be two playable characters, the titular hero James Denis who is the most balanced one and his older brother Jake Denis who moves faster and jumps higher. You decide which one could be perfect.
And about the current process, the game is doing very well since most of the basics are fully done, I just need to construct the levels and the original enemies.
I will make a Game Jolt page in few days as long I finalized the details.
