I know it's only a beta version, and doesn't even have a name yet, but it's shaping up to be pretty good  The graphics are nice. Weird, but nice. The sounds are cool, the music is OK but gets repetetititive after a while.
The gameplay is good - the platform engine is cool, and the level design is nice and presents a real challenge - there's hidden areas, gems to collect for an extra challenge, and a time limit near the end of the level. The only niggle I had was that you got pushed down when shot at, making jumping on enemies insanely difficult sometimes. Lastability ain't great, because it's only beta and unnamed. However, I do think Jonathan Smelby may have quite a bad time designing the rest of the levels - they'll probably be quite short as you have to race to the finish at the end of each level. These annoyances aside, this is quite a good game Now I'm going to stop typing and have an ice lolly.
