Musicals/Soundtracks. I find them inspirational for my game development. I can't really post the others, I like an awful lot of genres, if Im honest. Les Mis is my latest interest, I guess, in terms of musicals.
I like the 2nd and 4th songs. They have a great atmosphere to them. I think one of my favorite songs from any soundtrack, though it's hard to pick just one especially from this soundtrack, would be:
It's the perfect song to kill a colossus to. SotC is one heck of a great game all over.
I like all kinds of music. When I was younger I was a die hard metal head, now I'm a bit more docile.
I've been listening to a lot of Serj lately. You might just consider him his own category
Living colour also does some of that random Genre thing
All in all, I like to kick back and wind down with some George Winston, which is kind of a jazz/classic/newage piano

now on the Xbox Live Marketplace!
I personally don't like the existence of genres. It is artistic racism and half the time the musicians involved are pretty bummed out by it. To me there is only good music and bad music, the rest is made up by people who either don't know what is good or want to sell something. I shouldn't talk too much about this as it seems to annoy people somehow.
He does have a good point though. Some of us now laugh at the first digital photographs (1993-ish) with their low resolutions and such and even today most professional photographers stick with analog cameras. The only reason we don't laugh at mp3 is because most of us don't have very good ears, but it IS a terrible ripoff. Same for CD-audio.
I actually have 21st century schizoid man on LP (it was recorded from the back of a VW van if I remember correctly) and it does sound way better than this digital, compressed version of it.
Hayo obviously has good music taste by having a King Crimson track on LP!
I really can not stand most digital formats (some of the higher sampling rate stuff is not bad mind), youtube vids sound awful IMO, as does MP3. I still prefer Vinyl over CD. Before people roll out Nyquist's theorem as proof that CD is fine, any DSP engineer knows 4 or 5 times the maximum frequency as a sampling rate is required for good signal reproduction, and 4x/5x is typical on Lab oscilloscopes.
Also my friend brought this "awesome" digital amplifier that had been getting rave reviews in the mags. I had a look at the specs of it, and THD (total harmonic distortion) was well over 3% before even getting to full rated power. My old Leak amps from the 60s have 0.1% at FULL power out.
Complete rubbish, but people love the digital bandwagon! (some of it is decent, but people just go it's digital therefore its great without even looking into things). Same with cameras, a good slow-ish film even on 35mm is still well over 12MP (ASA 50 is ~ 18 MP, and that before we go to larger formats) and film's dynamic range is much larger. I use digital for photos I dont care about, but anything serious I will get one of my film cameras out
Wow look at that all those different types of songs, loving it, must check them out! I like all types of music to it really depends on the song, i do enjoy listening some of the rapy/dancy stuff lately
